Dr. Michelle Broughton PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert- MDT, PRPC

About Me

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 18 years of clinical experience. I have acquired multiple advanced clinical certifications to better serve my patients, but my top priority is helping you learn to be your best healer.

Professional Background

Over the course of 10 years I became a Mom to four blessings to my life. Being a Mom challenged my ability to prioritize my own health, but I’ve learned that daily movement is essential to being the best version of myself, which is why I am so passionate about getting my patients back to what they love to do.

My personal experience of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and most importantly the first year postpartum have had the largest impact on my decision to specialize in pelvic health. I realized the lack of support, resources, and guidance for women in this stage of their life. These experiences propelled me to pursue advanced training and certification in Pelvic Floor Therapy.

In my “spare” time I can be found with my husband supporting my children in all their sports, exercising in some form (everything counts), and time with my family.

About Me

Teju (TAY-jhoo) is the newest addition to the Brighter Day team. She caught the pelvic PT bug while working in India in a birthing and postpartum care center and sought to continue her pelvic health education after getting her Doctorate. Always enthusiastic and willing to work with her patients in creative and innovative ways. Teju is always willing to listen to her patients and put their needs first.

She brings a warm and charming energy to each session. She strives to provide the best evidence-based care for her patients. With her husband, a doctor, who is her inspiration, she has dedicated herself to becoming a life-long learner and skill-based clinician.

When she is not in the clinic she enjoys cooking, painting, horse-back riding and is currently training herself in classical singing. She also enjoys flexing her linguistic talents with crossword puzzles and finding co-relations and root-words in languages.
